This disclaimer outlines the scope, limitations, and appropriate use of Vetting Japan's services and reports. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Nature of Our Services
Vetting Japan provides due diligence and background verification services based exclusively on publicly available and legally accessible information sources. Our investigations are limited to data that has been voluntarily made public by individuals, companies, or government agencies.
We do not conduct physical surveillance, wiretapping, hacking, or any form of unauthorized data collection. Our findings are derived from corporate registries, court records, press archives, social media platforms, and other open-source intelligence channels.
Limitations of Public-Source Research
The information contained in our reports is accurate only to the extent that the underlying public sources are accurate and current. We cannot guarantee the completeness of public records, as some information may be incomplete, outdated, or not yet published.
Individuals and companies may have information that is not publicly accessible. Our reports reflect only what can be found through legally permissible research methods. There may be material facts that are not discoverable through public sources.
Findings should not be interpreted as a comprehensive assessment of an individual's or company's entire history, character, or future behavior.
No Guarantees
Vetting Japan does not guarantee that our investigations will uncover all relevant information about a subject. The depth and breadth of findings depend on the subject's public digital footprint, the completeness of official records, and the quality of information provided by the client.
A clean report — one with no significant findings — does not constitute a guarantee that the subject has no hidden issues. It simply means that no adverse information was found through our research methodology.
Not Legal or Financial Advice
Our reports are intended to provide factual intelligence to support business decision-making. They do not constitute legal advice, financial advice, or professional recommendations of any kind.
Clients should consult with qualified legal, financial, and business professionals before making investment, hiring, or partnership decisions based on our reports.
No Surveillance or Covert Activity
Vetting Japan does not and will not engage in physical surveillance, stalking, unauthorized interception of communications, or any other activities that would violate Japanese privacy laws or international standards.
If a client requests services that would require illegal or unethical conduct, we reserve the right to decline the request and terminate the engagement.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their use of our services and reports complies with applicable laws in their jurisdiction. Vetting Japan is not responsible for how clients apply or act upon the information contained in our reports.
Clients must not use our findings for unlawful discrimination, harassment, blackmail, or any purpose that violates the rights of the investigation subject.
Report Usage
Our reports are prepared for the exclusive use of the requesting client. Sharing, publishing, or distributing report contents to third parties without our written consent is prohibited, except where necessary for lawful business decision-making within the client's organization.
