2. Service Description

Vetting Japan provides due diligence, background verification, and risk analysis services for overseas companies seeking to verify Japanese individuals and businesses. Our services include individual vetting, company verification, social media risk analysis, and English-language risk report preparation.

All research is conducted using publicly available and legally accessible sources. We do not engage in illegal surveillance, unauthorized data access, or any activities that violate Japanese or international law.

3. Client Obligations

4. Payment Terms

Payment for services is required in full before investigation work begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment through secure electronic methods as specified on our website.

For Business tier clients with custom pricing, payment terms will be outlined in a separate service agreement. All fees are quoted in US Dollars unless otherwise specified.

Refunds are provided only in cases where we are unable to deliver the agreed-upon service. Partial refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

5. Report Ownership and Use

Investigation reports are prepared exclusively for the requesting client. Reports remain the intellectual property of Vetting Japan until full payment is received. Upon full payment, the client receives a license to use the report internally for their business purposes.

Clients may not resell, republish, or commercially exploit our reports without written permission. Attribution to Vetting Japan is required if findings are shared with third parties in accordance with lawful business practices.

6. Limitations of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our reports or services.

Clients are responsible for making their own business decisions based on our reports. Our findings should be considered one component of a comprehensive due diligence process, not a substitute for legal, financial, or professional advice.

7. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding client identities and investigation subjects. We do not disclose who requested an investigation to any third party, including the subject of the investigation.

Clients are similarly obligated to maintain the confidentiality of our investigation methodologies and any proprietary information disclosed during the engagement.

8. No Surveillance Guarantee
